Ian's sleeping habits

We are very lucky to have a good sleeper in Mr. Ian. Lately he's been going to bed at 7:30 or 8 PM and sleeping until 7:30 or 8 AM. Then there is the two to three hour nap after lunch. The funny this is that he needs his "friends" around to sleep. The other night it was hippo Kate, teddy, ducky, doggie, his new "greee" pillow and a blanket made by Gammy.

Memorial Day Parade a week early

Bethel does their parade a week before Memorial Day. Ian's nap was late coming yesterday because the fire trucks line up on our street and there was too much excitment going on. Our neighbor, Mrs. Rogers, taught him how to pump his fist up and down to get the trucks to honk their horns and turn on the sirens. He loved it and has been asking all day for the "honk honks". In other news - you can slightly see the scraped up face that he received from falling headfirst out our backdoor when Daddy opened it on Saturday morning. If Ian wears his hat low enough you can't see the big scrape on his forehead. This is bubble down week and so Daddy won't be around much. Keep your fingers crossed that Ian and I make it through!

Ian was famous

Last Friday Ian was in the paper with a picture that the NewsTimes took during swimming. Here is a link to the online picture. The story was a little strange- how human moms have things in common with "wild moms" like bears, deer etc. I can't find the story online but here is the picture:

sorry for the lack of posts

It has been a busy week - we went back to Methuen on Monday to Wednesday this week so I could do a meeting for work up in NH. Ian had fun at Gammy's and even got to catch up with a friend - Aine - to do storytime at the library. The bubbles were a big hit. We got back late yesterday afternoon and today we have swimming. There might be some pictures later. But - Ian's big update is pretty much that he's been growing leaps and bounds. He has tons of words, identifies almost all his colors and most by name, likes singing the tunnel song, and is generally a laid back kid. He loves his muck muck (milk) and would go days without eating unless you offer him a cookie. Well - got to run - we have to leave in a few for swimming.

Ian in Methuen

Ian had a full weekend - he met Colleen and Ken's puppy Sophie - seemed to like her, danced Irish jiggs in Grammy's living room, went shopping Sat morning and met the firemen at Old Navy, had a nap, went to a 30th birthday party, blew bubbles, slept, woke up, played with toys, went to church, tried to get the choir to sing Ba Ba Black Sheet to no success, met the animals across the street from "Dick's" , visited with Uncle Butch and Auntie Kathy and then had lunch before zonking out for the three hour ride home. Here is one picture I managed to take of him. New words this weekend:

Slipper, Ken, circle, racoon, gas, Butch, and of course his usual ones like tunnel.
