The Big E

We hadn't been to the Big E since before Ian. We took the trip yesterday and he enjoyed himself a lot. I think tops on the list was the little train ride and the hundreds of sheep. He was a trooper and we stayed until 3:30 and he only napped 45 minutes on the way home. Not enough for our guy and by 7PM he was asking to brush his teeth and go to bed. Who would deny that? Today he's been a little off as well and basically stood in his crib for two hours not napping just yelling to us. I think there will be an early bed time again today and cross fingers for a long nap the next couple of days.

My little guy

Literally - I went to Old Navy today - with him - and tried to stock up on fall/winter clothes. Well tonight we tried them on (too much hassle to try them on at the store) and everything is gigantic! I guess I think he's bigger than what he is. I bought 2 T shirts - guess he needs 18-24 months - and I got 18 month pants - HUGE! I know Old Navy runs big but I was gauging based on things he already has. Oh well. Back to the mall tomorrow.

Ian's Labor Day weekend

Ian had never been to the Kent CT waterfalls. We decided to take a drive today and show him. He liked them. But he liked the CT Antique Machinery Museum better. Find an old steam train for a boy anyday and he'd like it. That and crushing rocks like a miner would do. Now all he's been talking about is crushing rocks. Too bad he can't do it with his hands. The little guy hung in there for lunch but didn't fall asleep on the drive home. We got home about 2 PM and it was straight to the crib with him. The fact he sleeps in three hour stretches means he'll be out for at least another 20 minutes.
