Dying Easter Eggs

A Two year old dying easter eggs is interesting. First - prepare ahead of time - don't boil water and do hard boiled eggs while the two year old sits and waits. He'll get impatient. Second- a hard boiled egg still cracks when you drop it. but it makes for interesting color patterns. Third - when you don't have vinegar in the house the color won't take as well on the eggs and the two year old will wonder why we are doing what we are doing. Finally, trying to eat the eggs isn't recommended after the dropping, dying and handling they've been through so I've just wasted 8 eggs.

Ian's Bunny Train Ride 2010

Ian rode the train to see the bunny again this year. He really liked the train this time and knew that he was going to see the bunny. He takes his bunny meeting very seriously. We think he thought that Mr. Easter Bunny was a big stuffed animal. Ignore the scrape on his nose and forehead from two different falls on Friday. And we like his big boy haircut that Daddy brought Ian to get yesterday. he looks like a very big boy these days.

Happy St. Patrick's Day and Seeing Elmo

Ian had a good St. Patrick's Day. He celebrated by going to the Sesame Street Live show Elmo Grows up which we won four tickets to. He took Gabriel and his mom. Both boys had a good time - though the show was a tad bit long. The weather has been nice here and we are getting into the yard more. Daddy set up Ian's swing and we've been feeding the birds (or suqirrels) with our new birdfeeder which is set up next to Ian's castle.

Ian's trip to Florida

Ian had fun in Florida visiting Grandmama and Granddada (as he calls them). Even though it wasn't really warm, Ian had a good time exploring their house and visiting with their neighbors. He was a great little guy on the airplane both going and coming. We had lots of "art projects" to do while on the plane (basically coloring and doing stickers) and he liked the headphones for the TVs on Jet Blue. the airplane pics are on my phone so I will need to post those later. But here are some from the week for your viewing pleasure. He loved the huge bathtub and shower at their house. And yes- Ian fed a cow, milked a goat, and got up close and personal with a sheep at a farm called Uncle Donalds a little ways from Grandmamma's house ;. Mommy on the other hand tried to stay far away...Ian also liked Granddada's garage workshop and helped make a house - dollhouse that is.
