As with all birthday celebrations - it lasted days. This time three days. Ian had four little friends over for a party on Friday. the menu - mac and cheese and pigs in a blanket. He had a great time - it was a Toy Story/Bubble party. But at the last minute we decided against the bubbles since he spilled them and I just thought that throw a few more preschoolers in the mix and it was bound to get messy. He had a great time opening presents. 
So on Saturday Ian was able to go to Toys R Us and use some of the birthday money he received to pick out a toy. Look at what he got... its noisy and loud and he also got a circular saw that is just as loud. Lucky Mommy...
This morning we tried to go to Stepping Stones, the Children's Museum in Norwalk, only to get there and find its closed until November. So we went to see the fish at the aquarium. Poor kid had on his new workboots to play with the fish...
Then it was home for a three hour nap (after no nap yesterday) and when he woke up at 5:15 and Debbi and Peter were here for dinner we had some present time. Again - the popular toy was anything having to do with construction. He even made me get into the act. Lucky Mommy.

And sings right along with us as we sing happy birthday (he did this Friday with the kids and loudly proclaimed that his name was Ian Michael St. Germain as you can sort of hear him do tonight.)
