Still practicing Red Sox

Ian's still working on Red Sox. Usually he looks at his feet and tells me his socks aren't red...

Teaching him early

We've been working on some words for when Grampy comes home from Puerto Rico. Ian is also still a big fan of HoHo (Ian speak for Santa)...

Elmer Fud

Ian likes hats. I think we've had other pictures of him with the winter hat on indoors. Anyway - I was away yesterday for work and Daddy and Ian had some bonding time. Ian wore the hat most of the day. Wonder if he was trying to drown out Daddy?

New Video and one older one

here is Ian reading his book tonight. He took it down off the shelf and settled himself in his boppy to read. And because I just transferred the video and found the one of the BaBa nap I had to share it.

Pre throw up and post

Well we thought it was going to be a better day health wise- not so much. After a big messy diaper while we were out, we came home so Daddy could get ready to go fishing. He showed Ian his fly rod and Ian was impressed (the pile of sticks is what we've been working on for a few weeks now). Then Mommy and Ian went inside and he fell asleep for a while. When he woke up and we tried for a snack that is when it all came right back at me. Poor kid. After our horrible cornbeef dinner (the meat was just too tough) Ian stuck stickers all over Daddy and I before now winding down with his coloring book.

Still buggy around here

Ian perked up yesterday for a bit and went for a spin in his new car (sorry no pictures - got to be better about that) but this morning he's still feeling the affects of the bug he is fighting. He's on to stage two - and its causing really messy diapers. Poor kid. The pitiful Mumma cry is the worst. Daddy went in this morning but he only wanted me. Well - hopefully its naptime around here and we can catch up on things.

Sicky baby :(

So Ian's not feeling too well today - he woke up with some throwup in his crib, then later on got me real good, and is now finally asleep - fell asleep downstairs while reading his Thomas book - very hard to do. Anyway - he's been a very active guy lately and learning lots of new things. He still loves trains and has figured out how to drag the train from Grammy's house around the house here.

Ian climbs

No Pictures of it yet but the little stinker has learned to climb up on things to get stuff on higher ground. yesterday he came into the kitchen with a book that is on the top shelve of the bookcase in my den. I asked him how he got it and he proudly showed me how he climbed up on his little box of books and got it. Then he did it again later in the afternoon with the diaper packages we got at CVS that were by the gate upstairs. When Daddy got him he showed off his new skill by tipping over a bowl and climbing on top of it to get something on the kitchen counter. So far this morning he's tried the box of books trick again. Boy am I am trouble.

Playtime on Sunday

Ian took it easy today after picking up sticks in the yard for an hour - figured I'd get him outside before the snow starts. Nothing here yet so I think its all talk. He is getting very expressive. I think he learns at least 5-6 words a day now. Yesterday brick, fireplace, plant, table and raditor were on the list as he toured Peter around the dining room. today he picked up pipe when watching Daddy help Peter fix his boiler. He found a clock when we were out yesterday doing errands and promptly yelled clock and was very proud of himself. Ian can now do his shape and animal puzzles no problem - he knows exactly where the pieces go and will hand them to me when I ask for them. Guess we need to give him some more challenging puzzles. Tonight is pizza night in the Stermain house. Ian's in bed already so none for him. He did have some whole wheat pasta with the homemade sauce I did. It was a hit. That and bacon are his two new foods this weekend. Guess who fed him the bacon... glad we don't have a kid who need to loose weight but the other way around...
