Car Seat questions

So we know that eventually our little guy will be out of his infant carrier.
Any suggestions on what to upgrade to next? For the moment we will only buy one seat - but maybe eventually two because Steven has the truck from work with the backseat. But for now we can get by with having one seat in my car.

I can recommend against one if that helps. We got this one. It has carried us though year 2 and should work indefinitely beyond that, but it isn't the most convenient thing. The straps always end up folded, and the latch has a push-button instead of a slide, so you have to push towards the kid's diaper to open it. That is not a good thing when the diaper is full.

Though we can't speak through experience yet, this is the one we are planning to get.

Plus it's only $74 if you buy it BJs directly. :)

I researched car seats quite a bit and came up with the Evenflow Triumph. This is a convertable seat. The shoulder strap is doubled up and can get a little tanged, but no too bad once you're used to it. We also bought a convertable Cosco seat for our other car. It was fairly cheap (<$50) and had really good safety ratings. The Cosco has a smaller base so it fits into smaller cars better (or airplane seats) but doesn't seem to have as much cushion.

We put Noah in the Britax Marathon. It gets fantastic ratings and he is really comfortable in it.
