Come on mom - I want my MTV
This was the way the whole morning went today. Ian is at a stage where he wants to do whatever you are doing. He likes to sit on mommy's chair and loves her blanket. He also has is own remote but we know he doesn't know what to do with it because of the limited TV watching that goes on in our house when he is awake. This morning though I was watching the news (which I hadn't since early last week) and Ian wanted up on my chair. He was a little mad when I didn't give him my remote. Shortly after we went to the kitchen for some before nap yogurt. But it took him over an hour and a half to finally calm down and sleep. Many choruses of Baby Beluga, Twinkle Twinkle, and furiously pulling his quilt from the wall into his crib, the little guy is finally asleep. Will someone tell him he doesn't need to wake up at 5:30? Sleeping until 7 will cut out all this morning nap nonsense and he can just take one nap in the afternoon rather than go through this song and dance (literally) twice a day. Lets see - other cool Ian things - he makes more animal sounds - yesterday it was zzzz - for a Bee buzzing, sssss - for a snake, bra- for Zebra, duh - for duck, baboon still for balloon, da - for anything he likes, mamamma - when he's upset or tired, and he also makes the train sounds a lot when he hears the train in the distance and when he is walking around pulling the train with mommy or daddy. He still needs one of our hands to walk but he pulls it with the other. He is zooming around with his push toy and navigating the doorways like he's been doing it for years.
